We are heartbroken to share that Fatmata has experienced the sudden and devastating loss of her beloved husband and partner in life and service. In the midst of her grief, she is caring for their children and trying to navigate the overwhelming financial and emotional challenges of this moment.

Fatmata is someone who has given so much to others — as a mother, a friend, a social worker, and a community leader. Together with her late husband, she co-founded Intercommunity Development Organization, a grassroots charity supporting young people in Sierra Leone.

We are asking for your support to help Fatmata and her children through this time. Your donation will help cover immediate needs, temporary income loss, and the many costs that arise after the loss of a loved one. It’s a way of honouring not only her grief, but also the life of selfless giving she has lived.
