Help Stephanie and Ethelind After the Eaton Fire in LA
Donation protected

Dear Friends,
I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit to share the story of my sister, Stephanie, and her family. They lost their home in Altadena to the devastating Eaton Fire in LA County. While we are grateful that everyone was safe with us on a family vacation when the fire began, it meant they could not return to gather any keepsakes, essentials, or mementos. Everything they had is now gone—reduced to what they packed for our trip.
Stephanie has spent the past 20 years as a dedicated social worker, offering her heart and expertise to countless people in the Altadena area during their most challenging times. Her home wasn’t just a house—it was a sanctuary filled with love, joy, and hope, a reflection of the vibrant life she and her family built as active members of this community.
Stephanie’s wife, Ethelind, has also been a steadfast force of support in their community, always ready to lend a hand and care for those around her. Together, Stephanie and Ethelind have been pillars of strength for many, dedicating their lives to serving others.
Now, Stephanie, Ethelind, their family, and so many others in Altadena face the unimaginable. The Eaton Fire has left their town in ruins—homes, schools, restaurants, places of worship, and businesses have all been destroyed. Families, friends, and neighbors are starting over with nothing, and the road to recovery will take time, resources, and collective support.
I’m asking for your help to support Stephanie and Ethelind's family who are working to rebuild their lives. Your donation will help provide essentials, help with unexpected costs, and create a path forward for a family and community that has lost so much.
Stephanie and Ethelind have always been there for others, offering care and support to lift those in need. Now, it’s our turn to give back to them. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. And if you're unable to donate, sharing this message is another valuable way to help.
Let’s come together and show Stephanie, Ethelind, and the Altadena community that they are not alone. Even in the face of devastation, there is hope, kindness, and the power of community to rebuild what has been lost.
With gratitude and love,
