Donate Sanitary Pads to School Girls

Hi, my name is Zion Issangya and I am the Founder of Schoolgirl Essentials, a Tanzanian Non-Profit organization advocating for menstrual, sexual, and reproductive health, character education & meals program in public schools. Schoolgirl Essentials has 3 projects, namely Fahari ya Msichana, Jenga Initiative and Tuwalishe Initiative.

Today, I am here to talk about Fahari ya Msichana, the project which focuses on providing menstrual, sexual, and reproductive health (MSRH) education to adolescent girls and boys in secondary schools. Through Fahari ya Msichana project, menstruating girls are afforded reusable sanitary pads and underwear to enable them to attend school during their menstrual period. The goal here is to ensure that girl students are completing their secondary school education uninterrupted, the reason for setting up this fundraising campaign.

Your donation of just 10$ could keep a girlchild in school for 3 years, double that, she is provided with 3 pairs of underwear, informational handouts and a bar of soap, while we maintain quarterly monitoring & evaluation to ensure maximum results of their academic performance.

The Fahari ya Msichana project enables girl students to attend and enjoy school during their period with dignity, pride and confidence. With World Menstrual Hygiene Day just around the corner, May 28th, we are aiming to reach 434 girls by May 26th and your kind donation would play such a huge part in reaching our goal.
