Help Save Pug Rescue Victoria!

Help Save Pug Rescue Victoria!

For the first time in 15 years, Pug Rescue Victoria has had to close to surrenders due to overwhelming debt and carer burnout. We are desperately seeking support to keep our doors open and continue saving lives.

Our current situation:
- We are caring for 30 pugs and flat-faced dogs who are waiting for adoption.
- Over 20 dogs are on a waiting list for critical surgeries like luxating patella repair, BOAS surgery, desexing and more.
- Over 15 outstanding adoption fees remain unpaid by individuals who have unlawfully kept foster dogs, adding to our financial burden (if this is you PLEASE do the right thing and contact us to arrange payment).

We are passionate about giving these adorable dogs a second chance, but we can’t do it alone. Every donation goes directly toward vet care, food, shelter, and the life-saving surgeries these dogs need.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing our fundraiser is just as impactful. Often the same people donate repeatedly to Pug Rescue Victoria, and although we would be lost without these people, spreading the word helps lessen the burden.

The emotional toll on Pug Rescue Victoria's team has been enormous this year due to an overwhelming amount of surrenders and heartbreaking cases of neglect (just like most over rescues). Rescuers are overworked, and without enough funds, adoptions and reliable fosters they are being pushed to the breaking point.

Together, by taking away some of the financial strain, we can ensure that Pug Rescue Victoria continues its mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs who deserve loving forever homes.

Please donate or share today to make a difference

PUG RESCUE & ADOPTION VICTORIA INC. is an animal welfare charity dedicated to helping pugs and flat faced dogs. We have been rescuing, rehabbing and rehoming for 15+ years. We are operated entirely by a community of dedicated unpaid volunteers with a foster network. As one of the first foster rescue groups we have been a driving force behind the changing face of animal welfare in Victoria & Australia over the past decade and a half. We rely on donations to go above & beyond in our work. All donations over $2 are tax deductible!! As we are a registered animal welfare charity organisation and do not have any paid employees anything donated goes towards saving the lives of and rehabilitating pugs in need.
