Help save Kirra

Hi, my name is Renee, it is with a heavy heart and in tears that I come to you for help today. I’m trying to raise funds to help my

best friend Kirra to get her out of the life threatening situation she is. It all happened out of a suddenly and it started on Monday 30/05/2022. She started to shake and initially I thought it was because she was cold. After one or two days I noticed the shaking episodes

were getting more frequently so I took her to see her VET. The VET told me I needed to take her straight to the hospital or she wouldn’t survive another 3 days. If you are a pet mum/dad I’m sure you can imagine how that made me feel. I was in tears, desperately took her immediately to the best specialist hospital in Sydney, the VET Emergency Hospital in Rosebery which she has been admitted straight away and is still there since Monday.

 

The diagnoses is that her kidneys are shutting down and the creatinine enzyme that should be around 200-300 level is now at 900. They can’t find the cause and each day is another battle my little princess is fighting through to still be alive. She is not in pain as she has been on pain relif, antibiotics and fluids 24/7 to try to get her kidneys back to functioning.

 

I visit her every day since, morning and afternoons and I spend around 1-2hours each visit. My life stopped and all I am doing is trying everything the doctors says in a hope that we will find the cure soon.

 

Today the VET said she could have only 24 hours in her but I don’t believe it! I went to see her this morning and she looks better than yesterday, although the blood test results shows otherwise. I trust in God and for God nothing is impossible and I have faith he can save my baby. If you know me you would have met her, I take her absolutely everywhere with me, from working at the Gym with me to appointments in a nail polish place, she literally is my little shadow and we will save her!

 

One of the treatments suggested is a dialysis which is taking the contaminated blood out inserting a new blood in and the estimated costs are between 25-30k. The hospital bill is currently at almost 8K so here I am trying to raise money through this fundraiser to put together with my savings and use it to save Kirra.
