Help a disabled single mother save her cat's life

Dear community,

Our neighbor and good friend in the Brandermill Community is in need of our help. She's a single mom to a 6-year-old with special needs, and is disabled herself, living with similarly disabled parents. Her kitty, Jazmine, is only 10 years old, and such a sweetheart. Her initial appointment found her to have extremely high blood pressure, which they got her medication for, and her blood work just came back perfect, so next week they should be able to sedate her to get the wound closed up. They were previously unable to do so due to her blood pressure.

They've found that poor little Jazzy is almost entirely blind, which with the clear blood work is likely caused by the blood pressure and hopefully will be cleared up with the medication.

Eden's family is going through a lot medically with every member of her family in and out of the hospital over the last month or so for a myriad of medical issues, and her daughter going through some diagnostic testing for developmental delays, so there is no wiggle room financially to be able to take care of Jazmine's medical care.

We are hoping to recoup the money from the initial emergency appointment, and if momentum goes strong we would love to also raise enough money to cover the surgery for her wound which we were told would be a ballpark of at least $1k. If we are unable to raise that extra money, they will likely have to surrender Jazmine to the ASPCA.

Please like and share this gofundme even if you're unable to donate, and hopefully we can take care of this sweet little kitty!

These funds are for:
  • Medical expenses: Your contributions will directly cover veterinary bills, medications, and any other ongoing treatments required for Jazmine's recovery. Maddie already covered the cost of the initial visit to keep Jazmine alive, but there is still $1k of surgery on the horizon once we have recouped that cost. They were unable to do the surgery to close her wound until her blood pressure is under control. The bleeding is stopped and she has good pain medication and antibiotics, but until the wound is closed there is still a risk of infection.
  • Quality of life: Ensuring Jazmine receives the necessary care will contribute to her comfort and overall well-being during the recovery process.
  • Support for the owners: Eden has been doing everything possible to provide Jazmine with the care she needs. Your support will alleviate the financial stress and allow Eden to focus on Jasmine's recovery.

How you can help:

1) Donate: any amount , no matter how small, makes a significant impact. Your generosity directly contributes to Jazmine's healing journey.

2) Share: Spread the word about this fundraiser on social media, in your community, and among friends and family. The more people who know, the more support we can gather.

3) Send positive vibes: leave messages of encouragement and well wishes for Jazmine and Eden. Your emotional support means the world during this challenging time.

Updates and Gratitude: we will regularly update you on Jasmine's progress and how your contributions are making a difference. Eden will express gratitude and share photos/ videos of Jazmine's recovery journey

Note: All funds raised will be transparently used for Jazmine's medical care, and any surplus (if any) will be donated to a local animal welfare organization. Receipts for care will be posted in the updates.

Thank you for being a source of hope and healing for Jazmine. Together we can make a positive impact on her recovery.
