Help Save the QRC Community Kitchen
Tax deductible
Want to join US in making a difference? We're raising money to benefit The Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Queens, aka
Queens Reformed Church. Any donation will help make an impact for your contribution to our cause will help feed anyone with food insecurity in the community.
Our goal of $12,000 will help cover the operating costs of our Community Kitchen. If this campaign is successful we can:
- Continue full operations of the Community kitchen
- Better equip any cooks.
- increase food supply
- Focus on outreach and volunteer development.
- Local Partnerships
- Grant writing development.
The Community Kitchen will be celebrating it's 5 year anniversary in June. Queens Village currently lacks a ministry that serves prepared food on a weekly basis; not just at Thanksgiving or Christmas. The Pandemic has affected not only our funding but the lives of so many people that come here for a hot meal and company when they need it. At times over 100 meals have been served in one day. serving home cooked meals is our way of giving back to the neighborhood. Members of the community have also donated clothing, which in turn are shared with those who come through our kitchen. Share your food with everyone who is hungry; share your home with the poor and homeless. Give clothes to those in need; don't turn away your relatives.. then your light will shine in the dark." Isaiah 58:7,10
