My name is Madison (Maddi) Durapau, and I am trying to raise funds to pay for Parker's vet bills and ongoing treatment. She was diagnosed with Addison's disease, aka hypoadrenocorticism, and she has to be on steroids because her adrenal glands don't produce them on their own. She has to get a monthly DOCP shot for the rest of her life, a mineralicorticosteroid, which will be about $130 every 25 days, and she has to take Prednisone, a corticosteroid, every day for the rest of her life. Her current vet bill is around $4,000, but if I'm fortunate enough for her to live another 8 years, the DOCP shots will add up to $12,480. I plan to get a part-time job for Summer 2023, and I hope to take as many substituting jobs as possible to help pay this all on my own. Any money raised over the amount needed will be donated to Veterinary Emergency Group for any pet parents unable to pay for the critical car their fur babies need.
