After last years bad news and more than 9 weeks of praying, hoping and not losing a positive glass half full view, Dennis finally came around and all his scans came back clear - yeah!
We have been so grateful for all the support and prayers we received, coming from corners of the world we had not on our list.
Dennis had a good winter, re-gained his weight and strength only to learn last month that his lymph node cancer is back!
This is more than appalling and hard to swallow. The silver lining might be that Dennis is much stronger going in than last year and hopefully a tougher chemo therapy will do wonders.
Most of his hospital cost and treatment will fortunately be covered this year by a new insurance, we never thought we need.
However, all his after care, immunotherapy and special enzymes to enhance the standard treatment are completely out of pocket.
We will be forever grateful if you are able to contribute whatever you feel possible to make sure Dennis can beat his Hodgkins Lymphoma once and forever.
I will keep this site updated with Dennis' progress.
His current plan:
- 6 weeks of Chemo
- 1 week recovery
- 4 weeks stem cell therapy
- 1 week recovery
- 3 months of alternating immune therapy and recovery

I never thought I would write something like this. My second oldest son Dennis, has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He is 26 years of age, living and studying in Paris, France.
After digesting the tragic news and lots of reading, there is/was a lot of hope that this is a big bump in his life's journey but something very treatable. His first round of chemo went very well - until it didn't. He caught a bacterial infection in his lungs which were already compromised and an infection of his port. He ended up in the ICU, that was 3 weeks ago. An endless journey being on and off the breather, rounds of antibiotics and still in the hospital have all of us in despair. He is and will slowly get better but we are facing mounting costs at the moment with no end in sight.
In addition to sending prayers, we will be forever grateful if it is in your heart to contribute a little to Dennis' cause.
Thank you!
