My Son Has Terminal Brain Cancer. Please Help His Family.
Donation protected
My name is Valerie Rose. My son Chris and his wife Naomi, have 2 special need boys. They are now 21 and 23. They both live at home.
My son is a stay at home dad while his wife works. The boys were homeschooled. They have a wonderful life raising chickens, ducks, canning together, spending time with the boys, remodeling their house, exploring MI.
Late last year, my son was having issues with his right side. At time's he couldn't move. The doctor did a brain scan and found a 2 cm mass on the left side of his brain. This was back in September. In December, it had grown almost to 5 cm. That's when they called it a tumor.
He had his first brain surgery in February. A biopsy was done. He was diagnosed him with Glioblastoma. It's an aggressive, fast-spreading, cancerous brain tumor. There is no cure. As a mother, the thought of losing my child was heart wrenching.
On March 21, he had a stroke and collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital. They didn't think he would survive. He did. Within 5 weeks after the first surgery, the tumor grew to 11 cm. He had surgery the next day.
He has Chemo and Radiation treatments 5 days a week for 6 weeks. After his first treatment, his face looked sunburned. My heart sank for reality sunk in.
My daughter in law took a leave of absence to take care of the family issues at hand.
She has health insurance, but it doesn't cover all the cost of expensive , cancer treatment. She also has the cost of her household expenses. My son, being he is a stay at home dad, does not qualify for disability, SSI or anything of the sort.
I have financially tired to help Naomi pay her bills, food and what ever else she and the boys needed. Now my funds are low.
We are all still processing the future loss of Chris. We don't know how much time he has left. The Dr. said maybe 2 years but it will be more like 15 months or sooner.
When I look in his eyes, I see the beautiful baby boy I gave birth too. Tears flow as I watch the videos of days gone by.
Prayers for a complete healing, strength if we have to bury him.
All donations will go to help them with hospital bills, food, car expenses and whatever else they need.
Any donation is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, prayers are greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much in advanced.
