Hello my name is Johnnathan Urbina and I didn't think I'd ever do one of these but unfortunately I am. My mom Janelle Urbina is leaving this world soon. Some of you may have known her if you were apart of the Alhambra high schools marching band as she is/was the booster president since 2016. I'd always joke that she loved all the band kids more than her actual kids. If not then maybe you've seen her around town. She's gone around the city of Alhambra interacting with a lot of people making friends with anyone who listen to her talk. She's a bright soul and was always a sour patch kid. After constant hospital visits making sure she was fine an unexpected medical visit turned into a permanent one. Her body is too weak and with an emergency surgery done she is not looking too great. I'm asking for help. My family is not ready for this by any means. We had to cancel life insurances due to money problems. My mom was unable to work due to a sciatica nerve and had to get surgery. So savings have been dwindling for the last few years. My dad along with the older siblings have taken time off to spend as much time as we can with her. To top it off we have Christmas in a few days, the youngest child's bday is coming up and so is my moms anniversary. They want us to put her in comfort care asap but I know she'd want us to keep her going till the bitter end. Its a lot. I want her to push past these events so we can spend the most time with her if anything happens. If you can donate anything to help us pay for arrangements and to allow my dad to take time off to take care of my siblings I'd be grateful. I don't want to sound negative by any means but I know my mom would want us to be prepared. If I told my mom this she would lose it. She's never wanted any handouts and have done anything to avoid it. I guess I failed her in this aspect . If you can please help I'll make sure my family is taken care of.
