Help Save Diego: Urgent Medical Care for a Beloved Community Cat

Hi everyone,

For the past three years, I’ve been caring for a sweet community cat I call Diego He’s been a quiet, loyal presence in our neighborhood who I have TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) along with other cats he always waiting patiently for his meals, always grateful in his own gentle way.

Sadly, Diego is now facing a serious medical crisis. He’s lost a dramatic amount of weight, and his condition is worsening quickly. After observing his symptoms and speaking with a vet, we believe the root of his suffering is severe dental disease. He’s clearly in pain — struggling to eat, drooling, and withdrawing more each day.

He needs a dental procedure urgently to remove infected teeth and stop the pain that’s preventing him from eating. Without this, he won’t survive.

Although Diego is a “community” cat, I’ve taken on the responsibility of his care — but his medical needs now go beyond what I can manage on my own. That’s why I’m reaching out for help. I have already taken him to the vet and this is what is being recommended.

• Medications, pain management, and follow-up care

• Fluids, nutrition support, and recovery boarding if needed

Estimated costs range 1,900-2,400 depending on the extent of his dental needs and any underlying health issues discovered.

Diego is a fighter. He’s survived outdoor life, harsh weather, and the ups and downs of life as a stray. With the right medical intervention, he still has life left to live — and I want to give him that chance.
