Support Julie and her recovery after her car accident, traumatic brain injury and surgery.

We are reaching out in hopes of support for my sister, Julie, her husband, Michael, and their two kids. Julie recently suffered a severe car accident that left her with multiple broken ribs, a compound fracture in her collarbone, and a traumatic brain injury that required an emergency craniotomy to save her life. This surgery required the removal of a large piece of her skull to relieve the pressure in her brain. The weeks that followed have been filled with a lengthy hospital stay, clavicle surgery, physical therapy, and in-home care.

Julie’s car accident and significant medical expenses have taken a toll emotionally and financially on the family. Michael has been doing everything he can to support her, all while managing his work, supporting their two kids, and taking care of everything else to get through this unexpected crisis. We are hoping to ease the stress of their financial burden so they can focus entirely on Julie’s recovery.

Many of you may know Julie and Michael through their beautiful “Christmas Lights in Orange County” home light display and annual fundraising efforts for children’s hospitals and other charities – a tradition that they happily kept to bring joy to thousands of families for over two decades. This season, for the first time in all these years, they will not be able to keep this annual tradition because of Julie’s condition.
