Help Recover Sweet Jet’s Vet Bill

Hi, my name is Sam Marranca and I’m hoping you all can help me raise enough money to cover a vet bill that was the result of my dear friend’s kitten ingesting a large amount of a dangerous object.

Let me explain: On Sunday October 22nd, Jet’s mother wanted to have his closest friends and family over to celebrate his 1st birthday.

As his mother was hanging a birthday banner for him, Jet ingested 2-3 feet of ribbon.

Jet was brought to the hospital and an x-ray showed that the ribbon had made its way into Jet’s small intestine.

At that point, Jet was going to need major surgery to remove the string. The doctor said he has a 50/50 chance of survival.

Soon after a surgeon arrived to the hospital and a GI ultrasound showed that the ribbon was passing through his intestine with minimal damage. The surgeon decided to not proceed with surgery and see if Jet could pass it on his own.

As of yesterday, he started to pass it!

Jet will most likely not need surgery! He is not fully out of the woods yet, as his intestines can still obstruct during the time it takes to fully pass.

We will continue fundraising efforts so his mom can pay the hospital bill. Jet’s mom is a law student at Drexel University. Law school leaves no time to work, so she isn’t able to cover his vet bills.
