I’ve been battling several neurological issues. Rapid weight loss (120lbs in just under a year), high blood inflammation, migraines, focal seizures, fainting spells, posterior nosebleeds, blood clots from my nose and throat, chronic sinusitis eczema flareups, and so much more.
More recently, doctors discovered a “benign” arachnid cyst on the right side of my brain, that has now grown from 30mm to 34mm, the doctors consider it non dangerous, however the growth, the placement, and the symptoms seem to indicate that this could be worse.
Anyone who has had serious medical issues knows that it’s difficult to have doctors take your issues seriously, especially being born a female at birth in America.
Over the past couple of years, I’ve had so many appointments regarding my health, but most of them have ended in dismissal.
It took my adoptive father demanding I get care as i was in the emergency room for my doctors to start taking me seriously, which resulted in the cyst being found.
I’ve been referred to neurosurgery, have scheduled MRI/MRCPs & TTEs, provided a service dog for strokes & seizures, under care of several caretakers 24/7, and been given a one-week heart monitor for my other medical needs.
The cardiologist believes it could be a hole in my heart.
Because of all my health concerns and physical conditions, my hands flared up and forced me take a LOA from work last year, my hands have not improved, so I haven’t been able to work since.
It’s difficult to find work that will be accommodating of my medical needs and my service dog.
I lost my previous job due to my partial deafness and blindness worsening, which continues to aggravate, however i try my best to keep my mental health at peace.
I’m doing everything I can to get the care my body needs, but medical bills are expensive, and they keep piling up.
I am on daily, weekly, and biweekly medication.
While all of this happens, I’m involved in a legal battle with my biological mother, who was abusive and neglected my medical needs as a child.
I currently have a restraining order in place, but ongoing costs to ensure my safety have become overwhelming.
Two days after I turned 18, with the help of my wonderful adoptive family, I escaped her home. Since then, my biological mother and sister have stalked and threatened me.
They’ve stolen my legal documents and identification like my SSN and impersonated me to access my medical history.
It took doctors seeing my biological mother and sister being in the same building impersonating me while i was getting my heart monitor that they realized my sister had been, and was fraudulently acting as me.
Between my medical appointments, legal fees, and more, I’m unfortunately at my limit. Any donation, no matter how small, would make such a massive impact in my life.
If you can’t donate, sharing this page and spreading it around would mean the world to me. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to show me support by reading my story.
