Hello, I’m Reem, the voice behind this fundraiser. Today, I’m sharing a story of resilience and urgent hope from Gaza a story that deserves to be heard, and that urgently needs your compassion and support.
Imagine going to sleep each night not knowing if you’ll wake up the next morning.
For Heba, Yehya, and their family, this isn’t just fear it’s their daily reality.
The hum of warplanes has replaced birdsong, and the sky carries terror instead of light.
This war hasn’t only stolen their peace it has stolen the life they once knew.
Their home was completely destroyed on October 9, 2023, one of over 10,000 homes reduced to rubble in Gaza.
Since that day, they’ve been displaced, living in a shelter crowded with more than 50,000 people, where food, medicine, and safety are distant memories.
About Heba, Yehya, and Jana:
• Heba (24) graduated during the war, under unimaginable conditions.
She completed her degree in Computer and Communications Engineering and was interning at Jawwal, one of Gaza’s leading telecom companies. A talented UX/UI and front-end designer, Heba still dreams of working and rebuilding a better life for her family even after everything.
• Yehya (22) was in his third year of interior design and used to help his father in the family carpentry workshop. But the war destroyed it all — his books, his laptop, his safe space to study. Forced to pause his education, he now fights just to survive.
• Jana (14), the quiet soul of the family, dreamed of going back to school and seeing her friends in northern Gaza.
She was killed on June 30, 2025 — just weeks before her 15th birthday. She didn’t live long enough to see peace.

The Rest of the Family:
• Mena (18), a basketball player full of life, now struggles to survive each day.
• Zeina (13), a gifted young artist, hasn’t drawn a single line since the war began.
• Seba (10), a sweet little swimmer, cries daily over their destroyed home and says she just wants to sleep without fear.
• Shawqy (9), the youngest, dreams of his toys and clothes of being a child again, instead of carrying the weight of survival.
• Alaa (52), the father, a skilled carpenter with 25 years of experience, lost his workshop and his livelihood.
• Seren (46), the mother, simply prays that her children live long enough to feel safe again.
They are trapped in starvation. Food is either unavailable or priced far beyond their means.
They are living under a slow, brutal genocide that has erased their past and threatens their future.

⚠️ Why We Need Your Help:
We are raising funds to help this family escape Gaza and save the lives of those who remain.
Here is a breakdown of what’s needed:
1. $10,000 per family member to cover the cost of evacuation through Egyptian intermediaries.
2. $5,000 for basic resettlement support (housing, food, essentials).
3. $2,000 to cover GoFundMe fees and ensure donations reach them in full.
⸻
Your donation today can make the difference between life and death.
It’s a chance for Heba to start her career.
For Yehya to continue his studies.
For Zeina to draw again.
For Seba to sleep in peace.
For Shawqy to return to his childhood…
And for Jana’s memory to live on through the survival of her family.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing their story matters.
Say their names. Tell the world they exist. Help us remind the world that they — like everyone deserve to live.
With deepest gratitude,
Reem, on behalf of Heba, Yehya, and their family
