Hallo an alle, die über diese Kampagne stolpern,
Mögt ihr Hunde? Und wollt ihr einem alten Bebi etwas Gutes tun? Dann seid ihr hier genau richtig!
Es fällt mir sehr schwer, um Hilfe zu bitten, aber ich möchte diese Sorge für mein liebstes Bebi überwinden. Schon letzten Winter wollte ich eigentlich eine Kampagne starten, doch wegen meiner eigenen gesundheitlichen Probleme bekam ich es nicht hin. Jetzt, wo wieder die kalte Jahreszeit kommt und er erneut Schmerzen wegen seiner Arthrose bekommt, möchte ich es endlich umsetzen.
Ich weiß nicht, wie viel Info für die Kampagne benötigt wird, versuche aber so gut ich kann die Situation transparent zu erläutern. Ich hoffe, dies ist richtig so, auch wenn der Text sehr lange wurde.
Unsere Situation
Mein Hund wurde vor langem aus dem Tierschutz gerettet und lebte ursprünglich bei meiner Familie. Ich konnte ihn damals nur gelegentlich sehen, da ich selbst schwer krank bin und er nur ab und zu zu Besuch kam.
Ich hätte ihm trotzdem gern alles Mögliche besorgt, aber ich war schon damals ans Haus, viele Tage auch ans Bett gebunden. Arbeiten konnte und kann ich nicht mehr. Ich kam selbst kaum über die Runden. Für ihn hatte ich nur Näpfe, etwas Spielzeug und eine dünne Decke, die ich auf mein Bett legte, damit er dort liegen konnte.
Als meine Gesundheit dann so stark bergab ging, dass ich das Bett nicht mehr verlassen konnte und meine Familie regelmäßig helfen musste, wurde organisiert, dass mein Bebi jede Nacht bei mir schläft (ich bin nachts wach). In dieser schwierigen Zeit hat er mir mit seiner Anwesenheit unglaublich geholfen. Seitdem lebt er weiter teilweise bei mir und das soll auch so bleiben. Ich kann mir kein Leben mehr ohne ihn vorstellen.
Leider konnte ich ihm seit dem jedoch nicht mehr Sachen besorgen, denn meine eigene finanzielle Notlage hat sich auch verschärft. Ich kann nur durch Schulden Miete und Essen zahlen. Alle selbst benötigten Medikamente, Behandlungen und Hilfsmittel kann ich nicht zahlen.
Gleichzeitig hat er durch das Alter einige Beschwerden. Vor allem seine Arthrose plagt ihn ab frühem Herbst bis spätes Frühjahr immer wieder.
Das erste Ziel, ein Hundebett
Im letzten Winter ging es noch halbwegs ohne Hundebett, weil er überwiegend bei mir im Bett schlief. Meine Matratze ist allerdings komplett durchgelegen und für seine Arthrose alles andere als gut. Ich legte meine eigene Decke als Polster unter seine Fleecedecke, dann war es für ihn okay, aber mir fehlte natürlich teils etwas zum Zudecken.
Jetzt, wo er älter wird, will er mehr Platz um sich und Privatsphäre. Seit es mir etwas besser ging, legt er sich nachts bereits teilweise lieber auf den Teppich statt ins Bett. Doch dort ist es zu hart und zu kalt für seine Gelenke. Im Sommer wollte er gar nicht ins Bett, und auch jetzt bleibt er dort kaum länger als eine Stunde.
Würde er dauerhaft bei mir im Bett liegen, würde ich wohl eher für eine neue Matratze für uns beide sammeln, davon hätten wir beide etwas. Aber so brauche ich dringend ein orthopädisches Hundebett mit Visko-Schaum für ihn.
Leider sind diese Betten sehr teuer und die Auswahl an größeren sinkt signifikant, vor allem sobald das Innenmaß wie hier mind. 100 cm sein muss (120-130 cm Außenmaß mit Rand): die meisten Modelle mit ordentlicher Qualität und die keine Importe ohne Sicherheitsprüfung sind, kosten etwa 100 € für eine Matratze ohne Rand oder 130 € für ein gutes Bett mit Rand. Für seine Gesundheit reicht eine ohne Rand. Käme das Geld zusammen würde ich ihm aber lieber eine mit Rand kaufen, da er sich gerne mal gegen was lehnt.
Ich wäre unglaublich dankbar, wenn ich ihm mit Hilfe endlich ein Bett bereit stellen könnte.
Das zweite Ziel, erste Supplemente
Schon letztes Jahr wollte ich für ihn Gelenk-Supplemente besorgen. Es zerbricht mir das Herz, ihn wegen der Arthrose mit Schmerzen zu sehen, besonders, wenn es draußen nass und kalt ist. Supplemente können wie bei Menschen helfen, die Beschwerden zu lindern und das Fortschreiten zu verlangsamen.
Leider war es mir bisher nicht möglich, dafür zu sparen. Ich bin selbst auf Verschulden angewiesen, um meine Miete und mein Essen zu zahlen, zusätzlich übernimmt meine Familie bereits die Kosten für reguläres Trockenfutter und Tierarzt. Doch um noch mehr kann ich nicht Bitten.
Darum soll das zweite Spendenziel für seine ersten Nahrungsergänzungen sein:
- 2 Packungen Gelenk-Tabs zum Abdecken eines ersten Zeitraums (ca. 2 × 28 €)
- 1 Flasche Lachsöl für in Tabs fehlendes Omega 3 (ca. 16 €)
- 1 Packung Hagebuttenpulver für in Tabs fehlendes Vitanin C (ca. 15 €)
Ziel für beides:
(((130 + 28 + 28 + 16 + 15) / 100) * 102,9) + 75 x 0,25 ≈ 242
Ziel wären 242 € inkl. Gofundme Gebühren, auch wenn die Summe an Gebühren pro Transaktion nur geschätzt werden kann.
Weitere Bedarfe
Es gäbe noch einiges anderes, was für den Hund hilfreich wäre, doch bezweifele ich wegen fehlender Reichweite schon das Erreichen der ersten beiden Ziele.
Sollte es wider Erwarten dennoch gelingen, würde ich die Kampagne weiter offen lassen, um mein Bebi zu unterstützen. Wer möchte, kann beim Spenden dann gern in einem Kommentar angeben, für welche Kategorie das Geld gedacht ist. Ich halte mich selbstverständlich daran. Ich schreibe die Kategorien erst einmal nur in die Updates, damit der Spendentext nicht noch länger wird. Sie sind erst einmal nicht relevant.
Warum GoFundMe?
Ich hatte überlegt, eine Wunschliste (z. B. bei Throne oder Amazon) zu machen. Aber dort sind viele Artikel teurer, die Auswahl eingeschränkt, und es fallen bei Throne mehr Gebühren an. Es ist auch deutlich mehr organisatorischer Aufwand, vor allem da wegen schwankendem Sortiment ständig Artikel getauscht werden müssten. Das kann ich gesundheitlich leider nicht machen und es ist auch weniger sinnvoll. Über GoFundMe kann gezielt dort eingekauft werden, wo die Sachen wirklich am günstigsten sind. Das spart Geld, Aufwand und es kann für das Bebi das passende ausgesucht werden.
Zum Schluss
Mein kleiner Hund hat einige gesundheitliche Probleme, aber mit den richtigen Maßnahmen könnten wir sie hoffentlich besser in den Griff bekommen.
Er ist sonst ein glücklicher kleiner Kerl, denkt ständig ans Fressen, liebt Streicheleinheiten und schläft sehr viel. Ich möchte einfach, dass er sein restliches Leben genießen kann und es ihm an nichts fehlt.
Da ich selbst leider kein Geld für ihn aufbringen kann, versuche ich nun diesen Weg. Ich sah mehrmals Kampagnen für Anschaffung neu gezüchteter Welpen, aber vielleicht findet sich ja auch ein Herz für einen älteren Hund, der schon da ist und auch einfach viel Liebe und ein bisschen Hilfe verdient.

Am liebsten wäre mir, wenn Menschen spenden, die mich gar nicht persönlich kennen, damit es wirklich nur um das Wohl meines Hundes geht und sich niemand gedrängt fühlt. Daher wäre ich sehr froh, ihr würdet mir helfen die Kampagne zu verbreiten. Ich habe auch allgemein keine Reichweite dafür und kann auch wegen Gesundheit nicht auf allen möglichen Plalltformen aktiv verteilen.

Hello to everyone who stumbles across this campaign,
Do you love dogs? And do you want to do something good for an elderly dog "baby" (I say "Bebi")? Then you've come to the right place!
It's very difficult for me to ask for help, but I want to overcome this worry for my beloved bebi. I actually wanted to start a campaign last winter, but because of my own health problems, I couldn't manage it. Now that the cold season is approaching again and he's experiencing pain again from his arthritis, I finally want to make it happen.
I don't know how much information is needed for the campaign, but I'll try to explain the situation as transparently as possible. I hope this is the right thing to do, even if the text is very long.
Our Situation
My dog was rescued from street a long time ago and originally lived with my family. I was only able to see him occasionally at the time because I was seriously ill myself, and he only visited occasionally.
I would have loved to get him all the things he needed, but even then I was housebound, often bedridden. I couldn't and still can't work. I barely made ends meet. All I had for him were bowls, some toys, and a thin blanket that I put on my bed for him to lie on.
When my health deteriorated so much that I couldn't get out of bed and my family had to help regularly, I arranged for my bebi to sleep with me every night (Im awake at night). During this difficult time, his presence helped me incredibly. Since then, he has continued to live with me part-time, and I intend to keep it that way. I can't imagine life without him.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get him anything since then, as my own financial situation has also worsened. I can only pay rent and food through debt. I can't afford all the medications, treatments, and aids I need myself.
At the same time, he has some ailments due to his age. His arthritis, in particular, plagues him repeatedly from early fall to late spring.
The first goal, a dog bed
Last winter, we were still able to manage without a dog bed because he mostly slept in my bed. However, my mattress is completely worn out and anything but good for his arthritis. I put my own blanket under his fleece blanket as padding, and it was okay for him, but of course, I lacked party of a warm blanket.
Now that he's getting older, he wants more space around him and privacy. Since I've been feeling a bit better, he sometimes prefers to lie on the carpet at night instead of in bed. But it's too hard and cold for his joints. In the summer, he didn't want to go to bed at all, and even now he hardly stays there for more than an hour.
If he were to sleep in my bed permanently, I'd probably save up with a campaign for a new mattress for both of us; we'd both benefit from it. But as it is, I urgently need an orthopedic dog bed with memory foam for him.
Unfortunately, these beds are very expensive, and the selection of larger ones is significantly reduced, especially when the internal dimensions are at least 100 cm, as is the case here (120-130 cm external dimensions with a border): most models of decent quality that are not imported without safety testing cost around €100 for a mattress without a border or €130 for a good bed with a border. One without a border is sufficient for his health. If I could afford it, however, I would prefer to buy him one with a border, as he likes to lean against something.
I would be incredibly grateful if I could finally get him a bed with some help.
The second goal, first supplements
I've been wanting to get him joint supplements for the past year. It breaks my heart to see him in pain from his arthritis, especially when it's wet and cold outside. Just like with humans, supplements can help ease the symptoms and slow the progression.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to save up for them yet. I rely on debt to pay my rent and food, and my family already covers the costs of regular dry dog food and veterinary care. But I can't ask for more.
Therefore, the second fundraising goal for his first supplements should be:
- 2 packs of Joint Tablets to cover the initial period (approx. 2 × €28)
- 1 bottle of salmon oil to replace the Omega 3 missing in the tablets (approx. €16)
- 1 pack of rosehip powder to replace the vitamin C missing in the tablets (approx. €15)
Goal for both:

The goal would be €242 including GoFundMe fees, although the total fees per transaction can only be estimated.
Further needs
There are a few other things that would be helpful for the dog, but I doubt the first two goals will be achieved due to a lack of reach.
If, contrary to expectations, it does succeed, I would keep the campaign open to support my bebi. Anyone who wants to can indicate in a comment when donating which category the money is intended for. I will, of course, adhere to this. For now, I'll only include the categories in the updates so that the donation text doesn't become even longer. They're not relevant at the moment.
Why a GoFundMe?
I considered making a wish list (e.g., on Throne or Amazon). But many items are more expensive there, the selection is limited, and Throne charges more fees. It's also significantly more organizational work, especially since items would have to be constantly swapped due to fluctuating stock. Unfortunately, I can't do that due to health reasons, and it makes less sense. GoFundMe allows me to shop specifically where the items are actually cheapest. This saves money, effort, and I can choose the right thing for my bebi.
Final
My dog has some health problems, but with the right measures, we could hopefully get them under control.
He's otherwise a happy little fellow, constantly thinking about food, loves cuddles, and sleeps a lot. I just want him to enjoy the rest of his life and not lack for anything.
Unfortunately, since I can't raise any money for him myself, I'm now trying this approach. I've seen several campaigns for adopting newly bred puppies, but perhaps someone will find a heart for an older dog who is already here and simply deserves a lot of love and a little help.
