Renee has a life-threatening brain bleed which left her hospitalized over the holidays. She is alone, without help from family, and is at immediate risk of losing her apartment. She also has a neurological condition (neuropathy) that significantly restricts her ability to move. The serious and life-threatening health issues have left her immobile and unable to work and from being able to support herself. She needs temporary assistance for rent to maintain a roof over head and for utilities, food for both her and her cats as well as medical costs until she can recover and find new employment.
If Renee has touched your life or you have benefited from her charity, kindness, and her unwavering dedication and devotion to countless homeless and unwanted animals in NYC, this is your chance to touch hers and thank her or perhaps you know of an animal or person whose life has been affected you could give in their honor or in Memoriam.
For over 20 years, she has been committed to nurturing sick, abused, and neglected animals, placing and arranging transport for animals with 501c3 rescues when animals faced uncertain death at the city animal shelter, and finding loving homes for the fortunate few who found their way to her.
Renee has the biggest heart I know, especially when it comes to caring for animals. She has dedicated much of her adult life to making the lives of animals in New York better. She has rescued countless animals by taking in stray and unadoptable cats from shelters in NYC and Long Island and caring for feral cats in her neighborhood. She tirelessly bottle fed, socialized, and rehabilitated countless cats and dogs without complaint. Please help by contributing to her fundraiser so she can regain her health, secure employment, and continue helping animals. Renee has said she felt she found purpose in her life in rescuing helpless animals. Help her regain her sense of purpose so she can find her way back to animals who are out there in desperate need.
