Help Akeem pay for his medical expenses.

Hi, my name is Alrick O'Connor and I am fundraising for my nephew Akeem Thompson. Akeem suffered an Brain AVM (arteriovenous malformation) in April of this year. An AVM is a tangle of blood vessels that connects arteries and veins in the brain. The arteries take oxygen-rich blood from the heart to the brain. Veins carry the oxygen-depleted blood back to the lungs and heart. A brain AVM disrupts this vital process. As a result of the AVM Akeem was unresponsive and has suffered brain damage. Since then he was hospitalized in Ontario and has been going through rehabilitation.

In September he was discharged from the hospital and is receiving treatment and care at home. Thankfully there has been some progress and he is now able to speak and walk. Akeem still has a long road to recovery and months of rehabilitation.

Your monetary contribution will be greatly appreciated to help with Akeem's medical expenses. The road ahead may seem rough but we are trusting and praying for his complete healing.
