Hi, my name is Michelle and I work with Heidi, who is a nurse here at Maui Memorial Hospital. Not only is she a dear friend, but also an important member of our community hospital, working tirelessly in the service of others in their time of need.

In the wake of the devastating Lahaina wildfire, she and her family have lost their home and everything they hold dear--and now it is our turn to help her.

On August 8, a wildfire tore through Lahaina, leaving destruction and heartache in its wake. Among those affected were Heidi and her family. The fire moved quickly and they fled for their lives-- leaving everything behind. She and her family have not only lost their home but also their cherished memories, belongings, and sense of security.

Like countless others who escaped the fire, she is in a state of shock and is heartbroken for the loss of her beloved town. The road ahead is a long and arduous one, but together, we can provide them with hope, as well as strength and resources to overcome this adversity.

I have established this GoFundMe to raise crucial funds that will go directly towards Heidi and her family in their journey to recovery. Funds will be used for housing, furniture, household goods, school supplies for her children and whatever she will need to start over. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and bring us one step closer to helping them rebuild their lives.
