Zulie is my sweet angel, my loyal companion!! We rescued each other in 2021 and we’ve been inseparable since! Zulie loves being active. It’s been tough seeing her suffer in pain, unable to do the things she loves, due to a genetic predisposition to a ligament tear, which led to an inability to walk. Surgery was the only solution to have her regain the use of her leg. Dog insurance does not cover this pre-existing condition and the cost of this surgery is ~$12,000. We are reaching out to our community to help us cover some part of the surgery. We appreciate anything we receive, even a share or re-post!

Zulie is a very smart, sweet, and expressive dog. She loves being in nature, outside, smelling the flowers and rolling in the grass. She loves people and playing with other dogs. Most of all, she loves running and jumping with her ball! Zulie loves being active.

Several months ago, after noticing that Zulie stopped loving all of her favorite things, the limp on her left knee worsened. We tried treating it in various natural ways to prevent surgery. Until, ultimately, her knee gave out and she could not walk anymore. We had to follow the surgery path. We consulted different opinions and were told surgery was the best path forward to have her regain the use of her leg. Dog insurance does not cover this pre-existing condition, the cost of this surgery is ~ $11,000-12,000 and the progression to non-use was sudden so surgery was necessary fast.
