Help Waverly Fight Brain Cancer

You may know him as William or as Waverly, or you may only know Valerie. But if you know one, you have a good sense of the other - they are best friends, soulmates, and life partners. Together as a couple for more than 26 years, they were already friends for 15 years before that.
William, a union electrician working in the construction field, retired several years ago. After a long career with the National Football League, Valerie found a new passion as a yoga teacher. Their life together has been rewarding and fun, filled with family events, good friends, travel, food, and wine. That changed dramatically in late-September 2021 when Waverly was diagnosed with brain cancer, followed immediately by neurosurgery and its aftermath, including intensive rehabilitation. Although the long-term prognosis is good for a meaningful recovery, he suffered a recent and severe setback. He is hospitalized again and is navigating new, uncharted territory.
This has been a disaster of the highest magnitude for the couple. The emotional, physical and financial toll is nearly insurmountable. Each day presents new struggles for both of them. There are many challenges, hardships, and financial hurdles that they will face together and hopefully prevail, but they can’t do it alone.
As they move forward, Waverly will need treatments beyond what is covered by health insurance and medical care; and they will need resources to help Valerie, as his caretaker, to manage the difficult days and months that lie ahead. For that, they need financial help.
Please consider a contribution in any amount - it is all greatly appreciated, as well as your loving thoughts, good wishes, and prayers.
