Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
My name is Sarah, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart but hopeful spirit, asking for your help during one of the most difficult seasons of our lives. My husband and I have always done our best to work hard, stay positive, and keep pushing forward, no matter what life throws our way. But in recent years, the challenges have piled up faster than we’ve been able to handle. My husband was born with spina bifida and is permanently disabled. He is the strongest, most resilient person I know, but his condition has meant countless medical appointments, specialized care, and long-term costs we simply couldn’t avoid. While he continues to do what he can, I’ve shouldered much of the financial responsibility — until COVID-19 changed everything. Like so many others, I was laid off — not just once, but multiple times during the pandemic. Each job loss chipped away at our stability, forcing us to rely on credit cards just to keep food on the table and the lights on. Medical bills and my student loan debt only added to the weight, and now we find ourselves overwhelmed with no clear way out. Currently, we live with my in-laws, doing everything we can to stay afloat while saving up for a place to call our own. But with debts mounting and income stretched thin, even the smallest steps forward feel impossible. That’s why I’m turning to this incredible community — to ask for support, hope, and a helping hand. Every dollar raised will go directly toward: • Paying down medical debt • Tackling credit card and student loan payments • Saving for a down payment on a modest, accessible home where my husband can live more comfortably and we can finally feel stable again. This isn’t easy to ask — we’ve always tried to be the ones giving help, not asking for it. But today, we humbly ask for your kindness and generosity. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this with others would mean the world to us. And to those who are able to give — from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. You’re not just helping us financially, you’re giving us hope that brighter days are ahead. With love and deep gratitude, Sarah & Rob
