Toodle Woodle Woo Needs Your Help

Goal: $4,000 for surgery & recovery

TLDR: My 2-year-old cat Toodles (aka Noodle, Woodle, Toodle Woodle Woo) has a spontaneous femoral head fracture (no trauma, just ✨mystery✨) and needs an FHO with a boarded surgeon. I’ve set up a GoFundMe to help cover his care.

Hi everyone—this is really hard for me to post, but my cat Toodles needs help.

Toodles is my 2-year-old neutered male tuxedo cat and genuinely my heart cat. I found him as a stray, and from the start he made himself at home (and in charge). He’s the perfect mix of chaos, affection, and personality—and now he’s going through something I wouldn’t wish on any pet.

On April 8th, he started limping out of nowhere. Initial radiographs were inconclusive, and despite pain meds, things only got worse. No trauma, no injury—just vibes, apparently.

With guidance from my vet med community (and my own background as a veterinary technician), we moved forward with sedated radiographs, which finally gave us an answer: an atraumatic fracture of the head of his femur at the growth plate.

Because there’s no trauma, there’s concern for a spontaneous capital femoral physeal fracture—a condition where the bone essentially fails on its own.

The treatment he needs is an FHO (femoral head ostectomy) performed by a boarded orthopedic surgeon, followed by recovery and rehab. This surgery will allow him to live a comfortable, pain-free life—but it comes at a cost I can’t cover alone right now.

Our goal is $4,000 to cover surgery, medications, and recovery care.

As someone in vet med, I’ve been working closely with trusted professionals to make the best decisions for Toodles. This isn’t something being taken lightly—but it’s still overwhelming.

I’m also reaching out to my vet med friends—if you’ve seen similar cases, especially with no trauma, I would really value your insight.

If you’re able to donate, share, or even just boost this post, it would mean the world to us. Every bit helps get Toodle Woodle Woo back to running, jumping, and being his chaotic self again.

Thank you for supporting us and helping me give Toodles the life he deserves. ❤️
