Help Todd the Labrador
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ellie I’m currently experiencing an outbreak of leptospirosis in my dogs, I admitted Randall a 4year old Labrador to the vet that seemed under the weather and not himself on New Year’s Eve and by New Year’s Day morning we had to have him put to sleep, he had jaundice as his liver and kidneys were failing. He was by far the most loyal, hard-working, kind hearted chap you could ever wish to meet… I brought him into this world as I bred him myself from an outstanding bitch Emma.
Although the rest of the dogs seemed fine in themselves with normal temperatures and no signs of any other symptoms, on Wednesday, the 8th of January 2025 I had suspicions of another dog Todd, I called the vets and rushed him in. We ran blood tests and it was confirmed his liver and kidneys were failing! He’s currently hospitalised with the vet on a drip and antibiotics.
The vet is concerned that although we’ve caught him earlier than Randall, he is definitely going in the same direction. The only thing that we can try is by sending him to the Royal veterinary Collage London and having Todd put on dialysis, this is his only chance but we’ve been quoted around £10,000-£15,000
Randall’s bill is £1,069.70 Todd’s obviously still on his current bill and I have paid £2200 for all our other dogs that were revaccinated on Wednesday 8th of January and we are also blanket treating them with antibiotics.
So in a nutshell, I’m already £4000 in… I can’t afford the 10,000+ to send Todd so I’m asking for help… I’ve seen many people start a GoFundMe and in my brother’s wise words he told me “Don’t ever be afraid to ask for help” so I’m asking for your help just £1 is all I ask… if you can… to help us save a wonderful young (3years old) dog at only the start of his life!
Thank you
