Help Support Julia After Car Accident
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nick and my partner is Julia. Have you ever met someone that makes you a better person? Someone who makes you stand a bit taller and is always in your corner? An advocate, a best friend, a truly empathetic and compassionate person? That's who Julia is to me. At 10:59 on November 14th, I was in a meeting in another state. I was on day 4 of an 11-day work journey and I got an automated text message from Julia's phone. "Crash Detected SOS" is what it said. She was out running an errand and was T-boned by someone running a red light. I was 6 hours away and helpless. She was being rushed to the hospital by ambulance and I was getting calls and updates from everyone in her family.
Fast forward to today. I am home and her car is totaled. She's been discharged from the hospital but is unable to work as she's still being treated for her injuries. This past week has been a whirlwind of emotions and information just trying to get everything sorted out. She bought the car earlier this summer and wasn't anywhere near paying it off. One of the biggest struggles right now is a loss of independence. As I mentioned, I travel for work and unfortunately will not be available every day to help with transportation to doctor appointments and running errands. Thankfully, we have a support system but they can only do so much.
I'm setting up this GoFundMe to help her with a downpayment on a safe vehicle that will help her regain some of the independence lost from her car being unusable. Whether you are able to donate $10 or $100 every cent will be greatly appreciated. Any and all donations will be exclusively used for finding Julia a safe, reliable vehicle.
