Help support David Zagal in their cancer journey

Dear family and friends,

I am reaching out to you on behalf of David Zagal, my fiancé, who is currently facing the challenging journey of battling cancer.

David has shown incredible strength and resilience throughout this difficult time, his family and I want to get together to provide support in any way we can. To help alleviate the financial burden associated with medical expenses, we have set up a GoFundMe page.

David received a cancer diagnosis two years ago, undergoing chemotherapy for two months. Subsequently, he has since attended medical check-ups every 4-6 months. In August 2023, however, his test results revealed abnormalities, prompting the removal of a lymph node for further examination, which confirmed a diagnosis of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Commencing on October 9th, two weeks after his 33rd birthday, David initiated his chemotherapy treatment at the cancer center in Downtown Minneapolis. Scheduled for treatment every other week, this medical plan will span over the next six months.

We understand that everyone has their own challenges, but any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on David’s journey towards recovery. Your support will not only assist with medical bills but also provide much-needed emotional encouragement.

The funds will contribute to covering the costs of chemotherapy treatment. Although his insurance partially covers medical expenses, a substantial balance remains, despite his out-of-pocket payment for one month of treatment. With an extended road ahead, David is unable to work full time due to the persistent fatigue and symptoms associated with chemotherapy. This circumstance has significantly impacted him both mentally and physically.

Since I met David, he has shown me his loving, caring, and silly nature. He is kind and affectionate, always making me laugh and feel loved while ensuring my well-being, even through this challenging time. He goes out of his way to ensure the well-being of those around him. Those who know him well recognize his selflessness and his desire for the best for his loved ones and those he cares about. Despite appearing tough or serious, David is, in fact, the most kind-hearted person I know. His straightforwardness reflects his honesty and sincerity, creating an authentic foundation of unwavering love and support for those fortunate enough to have him in their lives.
