Please Help My Family

July 28th Update - Hello Family and Friends! I'm glad to say my Dad is doing Amazingly well considering we almost lost him a few short weeks ago. He is definitely a Superman!! We are happy he's regaining his strength here at home. Although it's his inner strength and faith that pulled him through. Again, our family thanks you for all your love and support!!

July 20th Update. Since my Dad has been out of the hospital, he's been doing great! Walking short distances and rarely needing additional oxygen. He still has a ways to go needing physical therapy for his neuropathy caused by Guillain-Barre, a nerve disorder he's dealt with for many years. We are still in need of donations to cover very high medical bills and living expenses as my Mom is still taking leave from work to care for my Dad and family.

July 10th Update - Thank You God my Dad was finally able to come home from the hospital after being ill for almost 6 weeks. It was a very scary time for our family. The hospital sent him with oxygen & other medications to make him comfortable enough to recover at home. I think being home with his family is the best medicine!! We truly believe in Miracles & the power of prayer. We ask for your continued prayers & donations as he continues to heal from this mystery illness that almost took his life.

July 7th Update - My Dad is getting better everyday with all your prayers!! He's breathing better on his own & they moved him from the ICU. Thank you all for your love & support.

Hi my name is Mason Garcia and for the last 20 years my dad ( Sonny Garcia) has struggled with a multitude of medical problems from high blood pressure to kidney disease as well as being diagnosed with long term Guillain-Barré Syndrome which effects the nerves in his hands and feet and had temporarily rendered him paralyzed from the chest down. Through it all he has been a trooper and has been there for me and my mom, teaching himself how to walk and be more Independent and thrive and make the best out of his situation. However, two weeks ago my Mom had to take him into the hospital because he had been running a high fever. During a procedure to figure out what was causing his illness he stopped breathing and went into cardiac arrest. He had to be put on life support and although we still don't know what caused his illness, he has been diagnosed with Sepsis, a life-threatening complication of an infection in the blood which can cause his organs to fail. The last few weeks have been increasingly hard on my Mom, who is dealing with her own medical issues, but remains by my Dad's side even sleeping in the hospital. Any money donated would go to trying to catch up on bills for the last few months as SSDI dropped my Dad's benefits in January because they allowed him to work part time, but he went over the allotted amount of income slightly for one month due to holiday pay. And now, with my Dad not being able to work and my Mom having to take time off to be with him, we need help. We pray my Dad comes home to us. So please, anything at all will help, even prayers and best wishes. Thank You!
