Help Slaughterhouse Rescue Dog Get Needed Surgery

We rescued an American Bully from a slaughterhouse overseas, and discovered the first week he arrived that he needs oral surgery and has a heart murmur. His teeth are destroyed from trying to naw his way out of the slaughterhouse kennel. He was sold by his owners to a slaughterhouse at the start of the pandemic. A foster overseas found him there shaking, with both feet bound by zip ties. Pit bulls are not typically rescued from the meat trade industry because they are harder to adopt. However, there was something sweet & special about this boy. 

His teeth are so bad, one has the root nerve exposed, which has to be excruciatingly painful. Another tooth is blackened because the nerve is dead. He frequently has a constant drip of drool, like rain pouring from his mouth. He needs four root canals. Pulling the teeth is not ideal because he’ll lose four of them, and the recovery is two weeks longer and more painful. The surgeon also recommended a cardiology exam and echocardiogram to ensure his heart can survive the anesthesia. He had that appointment this week and was cleared for surgery. I’ve reached out to dozens of rescue agencies to see if any could help provide the surgery at a discount or donate towards his surgery.

The cost is $5k for both, which is a lot for a rescue dog we paid an adoption fee for. We’ll be putting our own money towards this, and greatly appreciate any donations towards his procedures. We donate weekly to several dog rescue organizations because we have such a heart to save these angels. We’ve already spent over $3k towards his behavioral and health conditions and paid a $500 adoption fee, and now facing another $5k is daunting. Including photos of receipts for medical paid and the surgery estimate. 

This boy has been let down by so many, and we appreciate any help towards giving him a better forever.
