Help Sherry Lee Fight Cancer

Welcome to Sherry Lee's GoFundMe site. Sherry Lee is an amazing woman who has a passion for life and a neverending love for her daughter and soon to be 3 grandchildren. She is an award winning volunteer with a special dedication to her local YMCA. Sherry Lee is one of 4 siblings and is the "baby" of the family and is a trusted friend to many. In her work life, Sherry Lee is a passionate employee with an amazing knack for organization and planning. Both her clients and coworkers appreciate her attention to detail and she's a valued team member. She's also funny, beautiful, full of love and someone you can count on in a time of need.
Unfortunately, now the tables have turned and she needs our help. In July of 2016 she started having some pain in her arm and she thought she had "tennis elbow" from working out. She figured she would take it easy on the arm and let it rest. By August she was not feeling better so she started seeing a doctor about the pain which had now spread to her shoulders and chest along with some swelling. This continued until mid December when she was finally diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. The cancer has spread into her lymph nodes and lungs and she is experiencing a lot of pain. She just finished her first round of chemo but is still in the hospital while the doctors try to get control of her pain. At a recent family meeting with the doctors, she was told that her cancer is at Stage 4. We are all confident that Sherry Lee will continue to fight and in fact she hopes to play with her grandkids and
return to work in the near future. With her attitude and positive outlook we are certain that will happen.
As we all know, the cost of healthcare is like a conveyor belt. It keeps moving whether we are on it or not and doesn't stop to notice lost wages, copayments and mounting doctor bills. Fighting cancer is no different and when chemo, radiation and palliative care services are added, the task of meeting those obligations while fighting such an insidious disease can be overwhelming. The money raised will help her to continue to meet her obligations at home as well as help pay some of the costs for her care that are beyond her health insurance. We hope to raise this money for her over the next 90-120 days. Please take time to consider helping Sherry Lee during this time of need. Let's take care of this this so she can focus on herself, her daughter and her grandkids. All of this is overwhelming for her and she is so thankful that people are ready to help her in so many ways and she is grateful for the outpouring of love she has received.
Sherry Lee , It's our turn to help you after all that you've done for family, friends, your community, and coworkers.
Thank you you for considering helping and if you are not able to contribute financially, please send her notes of encouragement and keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
