Help Schooner VICTORY CHIMES, weather summer 2020
Donation protected
The Schooner VICTORY CHIMES built in 1900 is the last three masted Schooner still in existence since the age of sail. Converted to a passenger vessel in the 1930s she has carried thousands of curious travelers on unique journeys to explore the Penobscot Bay. Maine's incredible Archipelago off the Coast of Maine, famous for its beautiful islands and secluded anchorages. She is now the largest operating sailing passenger vessel in the United States.
In 2018 my Partner Captain Samuel Sikkema and I Cara Lauzon took over the operation and preservation of this beautiful living piece of history. With our first season behind us we have gained a large amount of experience, respect and understanding of the mission we have taken upon ourselves. We are devoted to preserving the history she represents and determined for future generations to be able to experience life on the sea as it was in days gone by.
As I am sure you can imagine we are experiencing extreme losses with the current situation and as we were just starting out, we do need to ask for help keeping our ship in tip top condition for sailing next year. In view of this fact we are reaching out to see if any of you might be interested in helping us to get through this time with a donation or purchase something from our limited online store, which can be found on victorychimes.com.
In her 120 years of existence she has never missed a season and we want to ensure we are able to carry on her legacy. Help us through this difficult time and give a loved one the gift of fresh air in the future!
We are deeply grateful for any help offered even your good thoughts count!
Thank you,
Captain Sikkema and Cara Lauzon
