My dear friend Sunardi’s 86-year-old mother, Wardani, is in desperate need of life-saving medication and support.

She lives in Lombok, Indonesia, where she is battling multiple serious health conditions, including arthritis and suspected bone cancer.

When we met Sunardi, he was one of the kindest, most giving people, someone who would do anything for anyone. He has spent his life helping others, but now, he and his family are facing unimaginable hardship.

Wardani’s family has already sacrificed everything to afford her treatment, selling almost everything they own, but now, they have nothing left. Their living conditions are heartbreaking:

• A broken roof that barely shelters them from the elements
