Brothers and Sisters I am Safia, disabled, and in my late 20’s. I live with my mother and we financially depend on others as I’ve lost my father, the only bread winner, to blood cancer nearly 2 years ago.
I have Muscular Dystrophy which makes me physically dependent on my mother. My mother cannot work as she’s undocumented and has to be home to look after me. I neither hold no education/degree to be able to work from nor that my physical health allows me to work for hours at a time.
I am not a U.S. citizen and receive no state benefits in any shape or form. Both my mother and my medical expenses, monthly house rent, utility, food and clothing is to be managed out of what is received in form of charity.
As we live in a rental home and I cannot get out of the house for it has steps and being alone my mother cannot drag me in and out on her own. That keeps me from doctor visits leading to more health problems.
The house we’re renting is soon to be sold and we have no where to go and being disabled we cannot afford to go homeless. I’d like to raise money to move to a suitable place which will allow new things to occur including a roof over our heads, ease of getting in n out of the house, and looking after my health InShaAllah.
The money raised will not only help with the house situation but will also assist in getting much needed medical equipment.
The funds will be directed to my personal account.
