Support for a Loving Dad's Stroke Recovery

I'm starting this GoFundMe for my husband who is the best partner and dad we could have asked for.

Over the past three years, he has carried our family financially while I was in graduate school, never once complaining or hesitating to put us first. But in the last two months, our world has changed in unimaginable ways.

At just 36 years old, he suffered a sudden and severe stroke. He spent weeks in the hospital and has been left permanently blind in one eye. As we’ve tried to make sense of this new, and unfortunate, life change, we’ve also welcomed our first baby into the world—something that should’ve been one of the happiest times of our lives.

Instead, we’re now facing overwhelming medical expenses, uncertainty about his long-term health, and the added stress of new parenthood. His hospital stay alone left us with a $78,000 bill. Since then, there have been countless specialist visits to try to find the cause of his stroke—something we still don’t know. That makes us scared that he could have another stroke at any time. And now, on top of everything, he needs extensive dental work that we simply cannot afford.

Despite everything, my husband remains incredibly kind, generous, and selfless. Even now—when we have so little—he would give anything to help someone he loves. But right now, he’s carrying too much on his shoulders. I can see the weight of it all bearing down on him, and it breaks my heart.
