URGENT! SENIOR CITIZEN IS ON THE BRINK OF

HOMELESSNESS! Please Help!

My friend Betty is 70 years old (just had 70th in late September), is overwhelmed with expenses and cannot make ends meet. She is in a dire situation which most of us, thankfully, are not in. That is a big reason I am helping: I am grateful for what I have and show that by helping.

Several months ago all the money she had saved was depleted and now, with the current poverty level at $14,580 her mere $822 Social Security check is nowhere close to covering her $690 rent and basic living expenses. Her expenses are at least over $700 over her income and in order to scrape by, she is dramatically cutting back on food, gas, A/C and even toilet paper to try to prevent shut-off notices of basic services. Betty has many health issues (emphysema, asthma, neuropathy of her feet, very painful migraines and heart problems) and is on the brink of homelessness. I desperately need your help to save her!

She has done her diligence by contacting all senior services by applying for food, energy and rental assistance programs. We are praying but not yet sure that they will keep her from the streets — as things are she is in very real danger of being evicted.

To add to her situation, her beloved dog Shannon died about 18 months ago of cancer, leaving her not only with a broken heart, but more bills, as Betty did everything she could to save him.

Just recently her car won't start and is stranded at home waiting for her mechanic to find out what is wrong but she has absolutely no $ to get it fixed.

Can you please, please help...just until she hopefully can receive all the government assistance programs she has applied for?
