Our Story began on August 15, 2024 when my sweet boy Diesel was diagnosed with Canine Acanthomatous Ameloblastoma, an aggressive tumor affecting his lower jaw. As his mom and decision-maker, I faced an impossible choice — remove a large portion of his lower jaw or preserve his mouth and focus on maintaining his quality of life.
I chose the path that allowed him to keep his joy, his personality, and his ability to live fully.
Everything seemed fine when Diesel and I made a 12-hour flight from Honolulu to Orlando to visit my mom in Florida. But on February 19, 2026, I woke up to every fur parent’s worst nightmare. His tumor began bleeding heavily — nonstop throughout the day. We rushed to urgent care and emergency hospitals, but without a specialist available, we were turned away.
The next morning, I drove him to a specialist hospital where they were able to stabilize him and temporarily stop the bleeding. Unfortunately, this is not a permanent solution.
Diesel now urgently needs a treatment plan to control the bleeding.
He is 9 years old with the spirit and energy of a 2-year-old. His lab work came back beautifully. He is otherwise healthy, full of life, and still the happiest, most loving boy. I truly believe he has so much more life to live.
Removing his lower jaw is his next line of treatment. I am asking for help to give Diesel the chance to keep smiling, playing, and being the joyful soul he has always been.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to more tail wags, more walks, and more precious time together.
Even $5, $10, $15, or $20 makes a difference. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing this page means the world to us.
Thank you for helping me fight for my best friend.
