Help Rehnuma go to the University of South Florida

Hello Everyone. I am Rehnuma Salsavil, 27 years old, from Bangladesh. JL is my mentor and a very close friendly advisor, who is acting as my fund organizer and I am the sole beneficiary.
I have taken this initiative of fund raising in order to pursue my dreams of higher education. I believe that education is a power that youth of this generation needs to acquire in order to become change agents and help make the world a better place. My mother is a housewife and my father runs a small farm so our financial means are very limited.
After successfully completing high school with good grades, I got the chance to pursue my education at the Asian University for Women (AUW). I benefited from a 90% scholarship. I successfully graduated in 2018 with a Bachelors in Computer Science & ICT as well as a minor in Environmental Science. It is a strong desire of mine to further study in the field of Environmental Engineering and conduct research using advanced computational techniques. Armed with such knowledge, I aspire to join a socially impactful organization where I will be able to contribute solutions to complex and sensitive environmental issues and in doing so benefiting my country and the world at large.
A month ago, my dream came true when I received a letter of acceptance from the University of South Florida to pursue a Master of Science degree in the Environmental Engineering program. It was one of the happiest days of my life, my family and my mentor.

So I am now one step away from turning my dream into reality. As a Bangladashi woman, despite my efforts to save money from my previous jobs and the help of my family which will pay for my travel to the US, I am short on the funds required to proceed with my studies and the student Visa interview. In order to finalize my seat in the program and for the student Visa, I need to demonstrate to the US authorities availability of funds to cover the first year of studies and living cost as an international student in Florida. The total first year cost for international graduate student comes close to US $37,000.
This is why I have decided to solicit donations for supporting my first year of studies as I have no other means to raise such large amount of money. Any donation will not only help me pursue higher education but when graduated contribute as well to improving the environment and betterment of human life. Rest assured that I will work hard for your donation and will be ready to tackle issues of air pollution, natural disasters and extreme heat waves as I experience them in my country. In addition, your donation will also promote women empowerment, which I will amplify throughout my future career, especially for those women who are deprived of access to education.
I am highly grateful for any donations that you make towards pursuing my degree at USF and other supporting messages <3
The amount collected by JL’s account will directly go to my education fund.
Sincerely,
Rehnuma
