Help Pickles after a life on the streets of Egypt
Donation protected

She had a hernia while on the streets and ended up having a litter of kittens which made the situation worse and her local vet n Egypt confirmed that they did not have the equipment to deal with this complicated surgery - so she has travelled a long way to get a chance to live a healthy life in a safe and loving home.
It has been established by our Vet (Ivy Bank Vets Irvine) that the bowel and bladder are both hanging out of the hernia hole and the operation to repair this is going to be very costly. Not only this but she has teeth missing from her time on the streets (she is only 2 years young) and now needs dental work completed on the remaining teeth she has.
We have fundraised already through the charity but the maximum they will support us with the costs is £400 which has been confirmed. Currently her vet bill is sitting at £800 for the pre-op check up and hernia repair surgery alone. An estimate of another £300 -400 for the dental work required to help this wee soul.
The last thing we want after the 4 days of travel it took to get her to the UK, already having the trauma of living on the streets and then having to loose her babies is to not be able to give her the best chance of living a long and healthy life with us here in Scotland.
She is such a loving cat and it would break our hearts if we were not able to support her due to not having the funds as we already have 4 other cats.
Our plan for her is to get the Surgery asap - it has been booked for 30th July and make sure we take the best care of her until she has fully recovered and then assess how she mingles with our other cats - as at the moment we try keep her separate in case of any fighting making the condition worse.
I cannot even put into words how much any small donation would mean to us and of course to Pickles.
In the words of John Bunyan:
'You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you'
