My name is Saloni, and I am a Software Developer in New York, USA.

My childhood friend, currently a Master's student at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

She is a mere 26 years old and came to the US to fulfill her dream of getting a higher education and ultimately working as a Data Science engineer. During her second semester, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 inflammatory, invasive ductal, triple-negative breast cancer, which very aggressively metastasized near her lungs as well.

Payodhi is one of the kindest, strongest and most cheerful souls. She has always been a financially independent girl who has been self-sufficient in every step of her journey to build the life of her dreams. However, with the ongoing student loan along with untold medical bills, unforeseen future treatments, and Chemotherapy, it is a challenge for her and the family to finance the treatment. She does not hold medical insurance, which would, in turn, increase the financial challenges.

Her willingness to get back on her feet again and positive attitude since last month have proven her ability to fight any roadblocks with just little support. Our goal is to make sure Payodhi can endure this difficult time without financial strain. We want her to focus on healing and time with her family.
