Our beloved friend and coworker Pam has lived in her home for 29 years —
Pam lovingly chose this land as a living tribute to the cherished memories she holds from her grandparents’ property—hoping to create a space where her grandchildren can feel that same magic, connection, and sense of belonging for years to come.
On July 5th, the South San Gabriel River rose over 36 feet, sending more than 8 inches of water inside. Though the property sat outside the 100-year flood plain and Pam had insurance, the contents — including everything stored in her detached laundry room and sheds — weren’t covered.
Pam had just made the tough decision to sell her beloved home due to the weight of rising taxes and upkeep. In an effort to safeguard her belongings, she moved them into the nearby outbuildings—but sadly, elevated water levels damaged much of what she hoped to protect.
Pam is the kind of person who uplifts everyone around her. She’s a teacher, mentor, and a giver — never one to ask for help. Now, she faces an overwhelming loss and needs support to recover what insurance couldn’t.
Let’s help Pam begin her next chapter. Your donation will go directly toward replacing essentials, restoring what’s possible, and paving the way forward with hope. Every contribution truly makes a difference.
Thank you.
