Help Our Mom Fight ALS

My brother Ryan and I are reaching out to our community on behalf of our beautiful and loving mother, Inga Dauphinee, who has been diagnosed with ALS. This is a fatal motor neuron disease that causes progressive degeneration of nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain, causing weakening of the muscles and physical function.

We are in shock and scared to find out that this is what our mom is fighting. Since the day my twin brother and I were born our mom and dad have been our number one supporters - giving us everything they possibly could. Especially our mom. She has been the most selfless person I have ever known. She always has put the well being of her children before herself. Now that our dad is no longer with us (he sadly passed away in 2017) we know that we must do everything in our power to give back to our mom and to protect her, just as she has done for us her entire life. We will not allow our mom to be taken away from us because of this disease.

Our mom has been battling with ALS for a long time and we have only just recently found out that ALS has been her diagnosis (after she’s dealt with continuous health issues for over the last 2 years - including a stroke). So much time has passed already and as our mom continues to decline very quickly we are desperately trying to find ways to slow the progression of her ALS so that she can have a chance at surviving.

One of the most, potentially, promising options for our mom is stem cell therapy. Unfortunately, this type of treatment can be very expensive, but we hope that with your help we can explore this option for our mom.

Additionally, we are trying to raise funds to help cover the costs of other medical bills, treatments and long term care related to our mom’s ALS journey.
