Nuria is fighting an aggressive stage 4 brain tumour. Much support is needed. I'm reaching out to share the story of an incredible woman, a mum, a wife, and a fantastic lady facing the toughest battle of her life. Diagnosed with an aggressive stage 4 brain tumour, Nuria is fighting every day to stay strong for her loved ones. However, she really needs your help.
Nuria is one of the most kind-hearted, compassionate, and loving people you could ever meet. As a devoted mother, wife, and friend, she has always put others before herself, offering her help, love, and warmth to anyone in need. Her positive spirit and her strength has touched the lives of so many, making it all the more heartbreaking to see her face this incredibly tough battle. Now, as she navigates through this especially challenging time, she needs our support more than ever.
Despite over 30 years of my dads service in the army, he has not received the necessary support to make her life comfortable; more so, the local government is not helping to fund her urgent needs. As her condition progressively becomes worse, adapting to our home is crucial to ensuring she can live with dignity, comfort, and safety. This includes essential modifications like:
Installing wheelchair ramps and accessible pathways.
Adapting the upstairs bathroom for her mobility situation.
Putting in a stair lift so she can go upstairs and use the shower.
Purchasing specialised medical equipment and medicine to aid her daily living.
She now has to live downstairs due to her limited mobility and sleeps on a hospital bed in the front room. My dad sleeps on the sofa next to her... So by extending the living room more, she can live more comfortably, and we can also add a hoist, which will use the added space.
These changes are vital, but the financial burden is overwhelming.
We aim to raise as much as possible so the work can be achieved for these life changing adaptations and her ongoing care. Every contribution, big or small, will make a significant difference in Nuria’s quality of life and help to alleviate the financial strain on our family during this devastating time.
Now, it’s our turn to help her, and your support means the world to us. Together, we can make a difference for her.
Thank you for taking the time to read this xxx
