Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister and her beloved dog, Milli. Milli is a 4-year-old American Bully who is truly part of the family.. loyal, loving, and full of life.
On Sunday, March 22nd, Milli started showing signs that something wasn’t right. What began as difficulty walking and jumping quickly progressed into something much more serious. Within less than 12 hours, she lost the use of her back legs and became paralyzed, only able to drag them behind her. Watching her go through this has been absolutely heartbreaking.
UPDATE:
Since then, Milli has been seen by both emergency vets and a neurological specialist. In a small but hopeful update, she has regained the slightest bit of strength in her right back leg. Because of this, the neurologist has asked us to closely monitor her over this first week to see if there is any progression. This will help determine whether the emergency spinal surgery is absolutely necessary, or if there is a chance for a slow, natural recovery with strict rest, medication, check ups, and intensive physiotherapy.
So far, Millie’s vet bills and specialist visits have already reached over $5,000 and continue to grow daily. She currently requires assistance to go to the bathroom (bladder expression) at the emergency hospital, along with ongoing care and monitoring.
This will be a long and difficult road ahead. Milli now requires 24/7 care and cannot be left alone for the next few months. Every donation will go directly toward her urgent vet and neurological care, ongoing treatments, and future physiotherapy to give her the best possible chance at recovering and walking again.
We are asking for any support-big or small-to help give Millie a second chance. If you’re not able to donate, even sharing this would mean so much to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, kindness, and support during this incredibly difficult time. It has truly warmed our hearts and made this heavy situation feel just a little bit lighter.
We’ll continue to share updates on Milli’s journey—thank you for being here and supporting her every step of the way. ❤️
Milli is so loved, and we are holding onto hope for her every single day. ❤️
