We want to share an update on Mia’s story. When we first created this GoFundMe, we were raising money for her vet bills with hope in our hearts that she would recover and return to her happy, healthy self. Unfortunately, Mia did not get better—she continued to decline, and we were faced with the most heartbreaking, yet selfless decision to say goodbye so she would no longer suffer. Because of this, our fundraising purpose has changed.

We are now raising funds to help cover the cost of her cremation and to create a memorial/shrine and special memorabilia in her honor. This will help my kids and granddaughter process their grief and keep Mia’s memory alive in a meaningful way.
