Help with Mazi's surgery

Hi everyone, I'm Austin Reed aka Reeve in the Smash community. On Friday evening, 1/6/23, I was driving home from the gym and spotted a small dog walking on the side of the busy road I was traveling down. We turned around to try and find him and it took a while to finally spot him again, once we did I stopped the car and put my emergency lights on. He was clearly scared, it was dark outside and he didn't know where to go, he ended up running across 3 lanes of traffic into the median, and started to cross over the next lanes. By the time I was able to safely cross into the median, cars were already speeding towards him, I tried to yell and flag down the drivers but they didn't see me or the dog in time and unfortunately one of the cars clipped him. Thankfully while laying in the middle of the lane he wasn't hit by an additional car, and I was able to jump in front of the next set of cars to get them to stop. We wrapped him up in my jacket and immediately rushed him to the nearest 24 hour animal hospital. He had no collar or obvious signs of ownership, and once we got to the vet hospital they scanned him for a microchip and he didn't have one. They ran x-rays and tests on him and he has a broken right hind leg in two places, and another fracture in his left hind leg. I paid the initial $1200 out of pocket to have him looked at, cared for and medicated; I feel absolutely horrible for this sweet little dog. After speaking with the Veterinarian, she informed me that the cost to perform the surgery he needs will be upwards of $5,000. The earliest possible surgery he will be able to get will be this coming Monday. I hate to even have to ask for assistance, but I don't want to see anything else happen to this little guy, he's already been through so much. If anyone is generous enough to donate to help it would be greatly appreciated. He's temporarily been named Squall, going to try to find his original owners but it doesn't seem like he had any.
