Help my deaf baby cousin get a Cochlear Implant

My cousin, Mahir Neslanovic, is a sweet three-year-old boy who has been unable to speak. After extensive follow-ups and testing, it was determined that Mahir has severe and permanent hearing loss and would need a Cochlear implant that would hopefully help him hear and learn to speak. Mahir and his family live in Bosnia where options are limited and surgery is not available.
Cochlear implants are recommended for young children and babies with severe hearing loss so that they can learn to speak. For babies and toddlers, addressing hearing and speech challenges early on can help prevent or lessen developmental speech delays that could potentially affect the child for the rest of their life. Dealing with this is especially difficult in Bosnia, a country where there are limited resources and help for families who have deaf children.
Cochlear implant surgery is not only expensive, but is not even available in Bosnia. Mahir and his family will have to travel to Turkey for the surgery. Just the cost of surgery is estimated to be over 42, 000 Euros or around $50, 000!! Mahir needs this surgery before he turns four years old in hopes of learning to speak as soon as possible. His family, even if they had years, would never be able to save up or afford this surgery. Mahir needs the Cochlear implant as soon as possible.
