Madi had started limping here and there in July after we would go for walks or to the dog park. It would only last a day or two then she would be back to her normal playful self. November came and it never went away, she couldn't put any weight on her left leg. At that point I scheduled Madi to get X-rays done in December for both hips and legs.
Two days later we found out that she has a torn ACL on her left side and a partial torn ACL on her right, hip dysplasia with subluxation, acetabular remodeling and moderate femoral neck thickening. Her veterinarian told us she needs to have surgery on her left knee ASAP and that her right knee and both hips would probably follow soon after.
It's been heartbreaking seeing Madi in so much pain. Some days are better than others but I need to get this done for her and put costs and my personal medical surgery needs aside to help my baby girl. She has only given me happiness and has helped me in ways I can't explain. I owe this to her...but I am going to need some help. I created this Go Fund Me account for Madi to raise money for her TPLO surgery that I will be scheduling this month. All donations will be 100% used for her TPLO surgery, pre/post exam fees, bloodwork, hospitalization fees, post x-rays, medications and rehabilitation.
Ive been working with 5 veterinarian hospitals around the area and the average cost for her knee surgery will be $4,762 - $5,952. With all other expenses added it will be a total between $4,930 - $6,348. If all 4 surgeries are needed they estimated it to be around $23,000. Any donation will help tremendously and be greatly appreciated.
If you know me, you know that Madi is my world. She has become such a huge part of my life that I can't imagine it without her. I want to be able to afford this surgery (and possibly the other two) for her so we can get her better and back to her old "Madison" self without being uncomfortable and in pain all the time. I want to see my girl happy and playful again and with your help we can make that happen! I am so incredibly grateful for any help we can get!
