Help Madeleina Fight Rare Clear-Cell Cancer

Dear Friends,

With heavy hearts, we share that Madeleina has been diagnosed with stage 3 clear-cell ovarian cancer, a rare and aggressive form that challenges conventional treatments. While recent intensive surgery successfully removed two masses, post-surgical evaluations revealed that the cancer has reached her lymph nodes. Though scans have shown it hasn’t yet spread elsewhere,

every moment is crucial in her battle.

Why Madeleina's Fight is Unique: Clear-cell cancer is known for its rapid progression and its low responsiveness to standard chemotherapy. Currently, Madeleina is under the expert care of UCSF and Integrative Oncology specialists devising a holistic strategy, blending conventional and innovative therapies.

However, many of these groundbreaking treatments, identified through Madeleina’s extensive research and her network in integrative oncology, fall outside typical insurance coverage. Some even necessitate out-of-state travel.

Her lived experience has always been a fertile ground for her healing practice and we all know that she is a miraculous being. If anyone can take this on gracefully and with deep wisdom, she can.

Madeleina Bolduc: A Lifelong Dedication to Healing and Community

Madeleina Bolduc, with over thirty years in the art of healing, seamlessly blends Clinical Medical Herbalism, Traditional Chinese, Mayan, and Tibetan Medicine, Energy Medicine, nutrition, Expressive Arts Somatic Therapy, and Open Heart counseling. Her deep roots in holistic practices have seen her hold a private practice for the past 18 years, serving as an educator of natural medicine, mindfulness, meditation, and Vital embodiment.

Childhood and Education: Raised in the Colorado mountains, Madeleina's connection with nature was profound from a young age. Nurtured at Naropa University, she was fortunate to grow up in the sangha founded by the revered Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Pema Chödrön. Immersed in this ‘crazy wisdom’ culture, Madeleina was trained in Tibetan Buddhist practices, Japanese ritual arts, and mindful embodiment, forming a unique foundational perspective that would guide her life's work.

Her Journey in Medicine: Madeleina furthered her path by completing a rigorous three-year clinical program, in the late 1990's, at the Rocky Mountain Center of Botanical Studies, mentored by luminaries such as David Hoffman, Paul Bergner, Michael Moore, Susan Weed, and Mindy Green. In the decades following, she studied intensively with Dr. Will Morris, Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, Donna Eden, and Dr. Rosita Arvigo. She has traveled extensively, from South America to China, learning from shamans, healers, and doctors, ensuring she imbibed knowledge from diverse cultures.

Certified in multiple modalities, including massage therapy, Eden Energy Medicine, Radical Counseling, and Clinical Medical Herbalism, Madeleina’s practice is a tapestry of techniques. She integrates her devotion to Vajrayana Buddhism into her work with students, clients, and community through wisdom teachings in a clear field of compassion and clarity. Her recent projects include Elemental Herbal Wisdom Immersion courses and a private practice that marries physical healing with spiritual counseling. She is currently core faculty at the School of Traditional Healing Arts through The Scarlet Sage/Verse.

Community and Rituals: Perhaps Madeleina's most cherished work lies in Community Rituals, especially Grief Rituals. Apprenticed for 20 years with the late Sobonfu Somé, she continues her learning with maestro Martín Prechtel, master teacher Adam Gainsberg and the alive, animate world of Nature.

Legacy: Madeleina's passion is unmistakable: the preservation of age-old wisdom and healing traditions, but with a touch of modern flair.
