After a long, painful and always courageous fight for her life, Lynda Choate Cronin peacefully passed away early in the morning on Monday, July 29, 2024 at her home in Weatherford.

Visitation was held on

Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, TX 76086.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, Aug 2, 2024 at South Side Baptist Church, in Weatherford, TX.

Lynda was laid to rest in Memory Gardens of the Valley on Mineral Wells Hwy., outside of Weatherford, TX.

This Go Fund Me account was initially established to help pay medical & living expenses but it has been decided to keep the account active for donations for her end of life expenses. All money collected will be applied to the cost of Lynda’s final arrangements.

Lynda’s story:

For well over a year Lynda Choate Cronin’s life story has been akin to a bad nightmare.

After being laid off her job and suffering many medical emergencies including shattered bones, pneumonia, strokes and several major surgeries, Lynda was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer.

Those are words no one wants to hear. Certainly a devastating diagnosis no one wants to live.

Thankfully, Lynda was able to overcome most of the effects of the strokes and was able to finish the first round of chemo treatments. It was an exciting day when she got to “ring the bell”.

A few short weeks later she started having severe pain in her abdomen. Tests indicated some cancer cells remained active. She started chemo treatments once again but they were not successful. On Sunday, July 7 Lynda was placed in hospice care.

With Hospice care being given round the clock, Lynda is being kept as comfortable as possible. This cancer has been painful for her yet she has faced it with determination and resolve.

Brady Cronin and Bailey Cronin, her son and daughter, are continually by her side. The picture shown of Lynda, Brady and Bailey was taken a few weeks ago when she felt better. Their dedication to keep her comfortable and deep and strong love for their mother is apparent. As you can imagine, they, along with Lynda’s family and friends are heartbroken.

Bills and expenses continue. Rent has to be paid, utilities and electricity must be kept on and incidental medical and personal expenses must met. All available funds have been exhausted. She needs our help.
