Help Luke Leave Lymphoma in the Dust
Donation protected
Beating a diagnosis like Lymphoma requires strength. But it also requires many sacrifices, especially financially. Luke Twilley was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma on November 8, 2021. He is a Civil Engineer working for the US Navy in Naples, Italy. Luke and Allison flew back to the United States for confirmation of diagnosis and to develop a treatment plan. Luke is temporarily living in Charlotte, NC while he receives chemotherapy, but his wife and daughters are still in Italy. The hope is that funds raised here will help to offset medical costs and the costs of travel between Italy and the United States so that Luke and his family can enjoy the holidays and celebrate his recovery together. It will be important for the Twilley's to be together during key points of treatment and any donations will help ensure Allison and the girls can be with Luke when needed.
The Twilley Family is strong willed and in great spirits, despite the difficulties ahead. The next several months will likely prove a challenge and will include a lot of medical and travel related expenses. Helping ease the costs of this unexpected burden is a great way to help them feel the love and support everyone who knows them is trying to express. Additionally, the Twilley's will be tracking all medical and travel related expense. Any excess funds raised that are not needed for supporting Luke's fight against Lymphoma will be donated to the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help others in their fight against this disease.
Allison will be working and caring for the girls with the support of a strong support team in Naples. Luke will have his family and local friends in Charlotte to support him along the way. He is confident in his team of doctors and his treatment plan. He remains focused on returning to Italy to continue making memories with his wife and their little girls, taking Allison to beautiful wineries and beaches, and (of course) biking the Italian countryside with his cycling friends.
Let's get them through this difficult time! You can also follow updates on Luke via his Caring Bridge website. https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/luketwilley
Thank you to everyone willing to help this young family in their time of need!
